Collaborating With WEGO Health For Parkinson’s Disease Awareness

Three months ago yesterday, I received an email asking if I would be interested in collaborating once again with WEGO Health and Adamas Pharmaceuticals on a second Parkinson’s ad campaign.

The static phase of the campaign launched last month and you can see that here. The digital phase, linked here, launched last night.

Thank you WEGO Health and Haley Quinn for trusting me with your vision.

Thank you for providing a safe platform and a supportive and encouraging community as I work to advance my advocacy for Parkinson’s Disease Awareness.

I am both proud and blessed to be able to say that I am a WEGO Health Parkinson’s Disease Patient Leader.

Hi there…I'm Nikki. I'm fifty-two years-old and I've been married to my husband, Mike, for thirty years. Mike is the Property Manager for a private residence on Lake Charlevoix. And me...I'm a writer and a podcaster and mom to the Lou-Crew; Mason (26), Ellie (23), Mabel (20), and Bram (20). Most days I'm just trying to figure it all out as best I can. Oh yeah…and I also ~~have~~ don't have Parkinson's Disease. Yep...you read that right. Stick around and I'll fill you in on that story. It's a pretty good one. Grab a cup of coffee or cocoa or a glass of wine…no judgment here…and join me on this journey. Buckle up. It tends to get a little bumpy.

Mason is a Certified Athletic Trainer. He graduated from Central Michigan University in December of 2021 with a Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training and a double minor in Substance Abuse Education and Community Health. He is currently living and working in the Toledo area.

Becca, Mason's fiancée, is also a graduate of CMU. She received her Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of Toledo in May of 2022. She is currently living and working in the Toledo area.

Ellie graduated from Olivet College in May of 2023 with a Bachelor's degree in Sports and Recreation Management. She is living in the Battle Creek area and is an Elementary PE teacher. Following a successful NCAA career as a right-side hitter with the Olivet Comets, Ellie is now the Head Coach of Varsity Volleyball at Bellevue High School and on the coaching staff of the Dead Frog Volleyball Club.
Mabel graduated from Charlevoix High School in June of 2023. She is a very talented artist and is in the midst of her sophomore year at the Kendall College of Art and Design. She is pursuing a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Illustration degree.
Bram wrapped up his time at Charlevoix High School in June of 2023, as well. While in high school, he earned three separate welding certifications from the American Welding Society. Bram plans to continue advancing his certifications while working full-time for John Cross Fisheries.
