I’m sorry…but not too sorry…for those of you that may have already seen this video on my Facebook page tonight. But I can’t let this one go unrecognized.
A very sweet and very thoughtful friend sent this video to me tonight. She sent it with the words “I cried when I watched it, too. It helped me understand better how you’re feeling”. Ugh. You guys. It’s these kinds of gestures…these kinds of words…that mean the world to me. My last couple of blog posts have touched on some of the fears that come with Parkinson’s. The fear of loneliness and the fear of not being understood. Tonight…I don’t feel alone. I don’t feel misunderstood. Tonight…I feel supported. I feel seen. She took five minutes out of her evening to watch this video and another five minutes to send me a sweet message. Ten minutes. It may not seem like ten minutes could be that big….could mean that much. But they do. They did. Here’s your reminder. Give someone ten minutes tomorrow. Please. It may mean more than you could ever know.
